Major Education Publisher
Created an Agile-based demand management budget system in Excel for a major textbook company's software development department. The budget rolled up to over $200 Million. Worked with Program Managers to define 205 teams consisting of over 1,600 members in multiple countries. Cost out the team’s sprint cost based on % allocation to the team and role location standard cost. Created a shared workbook that the 36 programs can entire their desired work, estimate the work for the team, and the spreadsheet would cost out the work and total up the budget for the program. Did multiple rollups for Senior Management review and reallocation of funds. Generated reports on overall team allocations, geo makeup of the teams, and possible cost and resource “what ifs”. Trained and supported over 100 people on the budget system.
Insurance and Securities Training State Reports
Automated formatting of reports to states on the results of insurance or securities licensed professional exams, for industry-leading insurance and securities training providers. Created eight, 4 step formatter and error checker for different states with specific info and specific format of data. Each report generator was configurable and easily changed by the users. Created documentation on how to change configuration settings if ever needed. The report generator saved the team a great deal of time creating reports that were done manually monthly.
Consignment Shop
Helped a consignment shop owner that tracked her customers and items in Excel Spreadsheet. Created a floating toolbox to search for customers by name or customer number, then open their tab in the file where their record resides. Automated new customer creation and reports. Helped with optimizing the partition of customers in files.
Automated Report Card Generation
Wrote an Excel Macro to generated Report Cards as a tab for each student in the class from a Template. Each student sheet had the student’s name and other information filled in, standard grades entered, as well as learner comments that can be manually fine-tuned per student.
